The short version

SaveMyTik has no accounts. We don’t ask for your name or email, and we don’t keep a record of what you download.

What happens when you paste a link

Your link is sent to our server, which asks TikTok for the post and returns the download options. The post’s public details (such as its ID, caption and file addresses) are cached for up to 30 minutes so repeat requests are faster. Downloaded files may be cached on our servers for up to 7 days for the same reason.

Our logs record the post ID, whether it worked and how long it took. They don’t record your IP address next to the link or post.

IP addresses

To stop abuse, your IP address is counted in memory for about a minute to limit how many requests one connection can make. It isn’t stored after that.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages and languages people use, and measure whether downloads succeed. It records things like pages viewed, approximate country, device type and the type of file downloaded. It does not receive the links you paste.

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, these cookies are turned off and only anonymous, cookie-free measurements are sent. You can block Google Analytics with your browser’s tracking protection or Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Advertising

SaveMyTik is paid for by ads. Ads are served by third-party networks such as Adsterra, which may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads. Their use of data is covered by their own privacy policies.
